Your data
We collect as little as we can get away with, and we do not sell any of it.
There are no accounts on this site, so there is no profile of you anywhere in it. We hold what an order needs and, if you asked for it, your email address.
Who is responsible
Haas & Reed B.V., Mantelmeeuwhof 15, 3582DN, Utrecht, Netherlands, is the data controller. Questions go to info@bigbucks.net.
What we collect, and why
When you order
Your name, delivery address, email address, what you bought, and the record of payment. We need this to make the shirt, send it to you, handle returns, and keep the books. The legal basis is performance of our contract with you, and for the accounting records, our legal obligation.
We do not receive or store your full card number. Payment details go directly to our payment processor.
When you join the mailing list
Your email address and the fact that you confirmed it. The basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email we send. One email a month, on the first, about the new drop. Nothing else.
When you visit
Our server records the usual request log: IP address, time, page requested, browser. That exists for security and to keep the site running, on the basis of our legitimate interest in not being attacked. It is not used to build any picture of you.
If you accept analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics to count visits: which pages are read, roughly where from, on what kind of device, and which site sent you. It only runs after you click Accept on the cookie banner, and the basis is that consent. Say no and nothing is collected. You can change your mind at any time under cookie settings.
Google's advertising features and cross-device tracking are switched off, so this is not used to show you ads or to build a profile of you. We run no advertising pixels and no other third-party trackers — see cookies.
Who else sees it
Only the companies that have to, in order for an order to happen, plus Google if you accept analytics cookies. Each acts on our instructions and cannot use your data for anything else.
| Who | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL | Hosting this website and sending our email | European Union |
| Processor 2 — to be completed | Printing and shipping your order | European Union and United States |
| Processor 3 — to be completed | Taking your payment | European Union |
| Google Ireland Limited | Counting visits to this site — only if you accept analytics cookies | European Union and United States |
We do not sell your data, rent it, or hand it to advertisers. We will disclose it if the law requires it, and we will tell you if we are allowed to.
Where it is kept
Inside the European Union, with two exceptions. If your order is printed in the United States, the printer there receives what it needs to make and ship it. And if you accept analytics cookies, Google may process that data in the United States. Both transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Order records — 7 years. Dutch tax law requires us to keep the administration that long.
- Mailing list — until you unsubscribe, then we delete the address rather than keeping it on a suppression list forever.
- Server logs — a short rolling window, then overwritten.
- Analytics — 14 months in Google Analytics, then deleted automatically.
- Emails you send us — as long as needed to deal with what you wrote about, and then deleted.
What you can ask us to do
Under the GDPR you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, hand it over in a portable form, or object to us processing it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
Email info@bigbucks.net and we will answer within one month. There is no charge.
One limit worth being upfront about: we cannot delete an order record before the retention period above expires, because keeping it is a legal obligation. We can delete everything else.
No profiling
We make no automated decisions about you and we do not profile you. There is one product and everybody sees the same page.
If you are unhappy
Tell us first — it is usually faster. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that affects you, we will say so here and, where it matters, by email.
