Trust your
instinct.
Tell us about the time you did.
Everyone has one. The job you walked away from. The person you called when every reason said not to. The idea that made no sense on paper and all the sense in the world in your chest. The room went one way — you went the other, and you were right. Or you were wrong, and it still made you who you are.
Send us that story. We read every one, and the best are published here on BigBucks and in our publications.
Or write to info@bigbucks.net
What we are looking for
One decision. Not a life story.
Start where it happened. Where were you, what was on the line, and what did it feel like before you chose? The smaller and more specific the moment, the harder it lands.
Your gut against the noise.
What did your instinct say, and what did everyone else say — the numbers, the advice, the voice in your own head? The tension is the story.
Honest, not heroic.
Tell us what happened next. It does not need a happy ending. It needs to be true. Business, sport, family, love, the small hours — any of it counts.
How to send it
- Email it to info@bigbucks.net, in the body of the email or as an attachment. The button above opens a message with a short outline to fill in.
- Keep it between 200 and 800 words. Shorter is often better.
- Tell us the name you would like published — your first name, your full name, or none at all. Anonymous stories are welcome.
- Write in any language you like; we publish in English and may translate.
- If your story is picked, we will write back before it appears anywhere.
The fine print
By sending us a story you confirm that it is your own, that it is true to the best of your knowledge, and that you are 18 or older. You keep the rights to your story. You give BigBucks permission, free of charge, to publish it on bigbucks.net, in our emails and social channels, and in our printed and digital publications, and to edit it for length, clarity and style without changing its meaning.
Please change or leave out the names of other people, and do not share details that would let anyone identify them without their consent. We may change names and details ourselves before publishing. We never publish your email address. Sending a story does not guarantee publication, and we cannot reply to every submission. If you change your mind, write to us and we will take your story down from the site and leave it out of anything we have not yet printed.
